VINTAGE NEW GUINEA Large Carved Wood Mask, Kamanibit Jungle Tribe, Circa1970
Dimensions  approximately 29 by 6 by 5 inches
This was acquired in Cairns, Australia in 1987.  Brought there by a missionary.  This beautiful hand crafted wood mask is in excellent condition. Vibrant color.  Rare to find one of these.  Made by the Kamanibit tribe of the  Sepik River Jungle of Papau New Guinea.   The mask was for Ceremonial tribal events.
