VES PITTSBURGH LOCK HAMMER AIR PNEUMATICShortest Handiest Pittsburgh Hammer on the Market.
New Spring Loaded Tool Retainer Eliminates the Wear and Broken Parts of Other Designs.
Our Clamp on Guide Allows the User to use this Hammer as either a Pistol Grip or an Inline Hammer
Compare our Hammer to others advertised on Ebay. Use the handle grip as a size comparison . The distance from our trigger to the working face of our hammer is only 5". The guide extends past the working face of the hammer only 1". Our guide is rigidity clamped to the body of the hammer.. Our competitors use a tool retainer that makes the trigger to hammer face distance almost twice as long as ours. When you are trying to hold the hammer against the pittsburgh lip and make a smooth seam, you don't need a vibrating hammer head that is 10" from the handle. Closer is better. To make it worse their guide is mounded on the tool release collar. It and the guide flop about while you are trying guide the hammer and make a neat precision joint. In truth their design is a joke. Try ours, if you don't think it is the best, return it for a refund. Ask our competitors to offer the same deal. We are the supplier of pneumatic pittsburgh hammers to the Lockformer Corporation. If you buy a pneumatic pittsburg hammer from Lockformer, this is the hammer you will get.
.This tool quickly becomes indispensable in a duct shop. It is 10 times faster than hand closing a pittsburgh lock.
The hammer will pay for itself with only 4 hours of use.
You will also get a smoother and neater joint
.
PREFER AN INLINE PITTSBURGH HAMMER
Our unique clamp on guide allows the user to rotate the guide to the best position to allow the easiest use of the pittsburgh hammer for the individual user. Our second picture show the guide positioned at 90 degrees to the standard position for use as an inline hammer.. As you can easily see, this allow the user to place his palm over the back of the hammer, while using his thumb to trigger the hammer. For many users this is the ideal position. The palm of his hand is pushing the hammer directly down onto the lock lip. As his thumb closes on the trigger, he has an exceptionally secure grip on the hammer. Moreover, his hand is only 6 inches above the pittsburgh lip. The operator can change the hammering angle 90 degrees with only a slight bend of his wrist. We have found no other inline hammer that offers this much control. More control results in quicker and better lock closing, with faster learning, and more production.
Utilizing an industry standard .401 shank air hammer, our lock hammer features 90% parts interchangeability with common industrial air hammers. Regulator, in handle controls hammering power. Low air consumption allow use of small, 1 hp (4 cfm) air compressor in the field. Much more power than electric lock hammers, and much less price even including the air compressor. The common compressors used for air nailers work great.
In the shop this hammer gets the work out the door quicker. It lets you keep on schedule, and virtually eliminates the most boring part of duct making, hammering the locks together, before you can go to work.
Several of our larger customers supply each ductwork installer with a workbox with a 110V air compressor, our pittsburgh hammer, and other assorted air tools. Ductwork is delivered to the job unassembled saving shipping volume. Field assembly using pittsburgh joints is much stronger and more air tight than snaplock duct joints.
Demolition! The hammer is supplied with a industry standard 5 piece chisel set. Remove the Pittsburgh Guide, AH2-22, and the Mushroom chisel, AH2-21, and you have a standard .401 shank pneumatic hammer. With a flat chisel installed you can cut the heads off of bolts, rivets, screws, etc. Install a metal ripping chisel from the set, and you can demolish old ductwork. It makes a reciprocating saw look sick. No buckets of broken high dollar bi-metal blades. Its only equal is a plasma cutter, but without the sparks. For concrete, this little hammer packs more horsepower into a smaller, lighter package than any other tool. It is a baby, one handed jackhammer. Perfect for cutting, trimming, or enlarging holes in concrete. Please note, higher duty cycle demolition work will require an air source capable of 8-10 cfm.
