    Description

    This is a nice, original ornate cane from the Solomon Islands. Acquired by an American Seaman in World War II, and is claimed to be from the Island of Tulagi.
    Item measures 36" long, 1 1/4" at its widest. Carved dense hardwood hewn out of single piece. Inlaid Mother-of-Pearl has some pieces chipped and missing. Has natural patina and wear on handle, shaft and tip. Bottom tip had protected covering over the decades and has minimal wear.
    Estimated to be late 19th century or early 20th century. Sold as is. Please study photos carefully and eMail with any question.
