    This is a fabulous old Decorative Lizard Skin Head Drum from the Siassi (Umboi) Island of Papua New Guinea. The decorative style reveals the influence of the Siassi islands and the North Coast of New Guinea.  An elegant arched handle is on the side and all made from a single piece of wood. Kundu is the name given to Hand Drums used in New Guinea. There are literally hundreds of different types of these fascinating musical instruments as most New Guinea tribes have a style of their own. This drum is old and it has lizard skin. This is a magnificent old drum in color, design and style and would be a wonderful addition to your collection or to your home.
