Original WW1 Turkish Ambulance Red Crescent

Description

First World War canvas red crescent symbol. This was reputed to have been captured by an Australian soldier at Gallipoli from a red crescent ambulance. Unfortunately not a lot more is known about this soldier other then his uniform related items were sold in the 1980s.  There is faint writing pencilled to the canvas but this is now very faint.
