Henry Holt & Co.  1947.  Hardcover, no dust jacket. 198 numbered pages plus 100+ pages of vocabulary.  Printed in a modern, Roman-style type, not in an old Gothic style. (No "Fraktur" to decipher.) "The first two selection in this book, taken from Lorenzen, 'Der Menschliche Körper' and Beltz, 'Sachkunde,' offer in simple style an introduction to the basic vocabulary in anatomy and biology. The selections from Bock, 'Das Buch vom gesunden und kranken Menschen,' present a wide range of subjects including anatomy, physiology and surgery with discussions of the more familiar diseases. The articles borrowed from the 'Deutsche Medizinische Wochenschrift' and the 'Münchener Medizinische Wochenschrift' offer a survey of various fields of medicine. This material is intended to acquaint the student of medicine with the vocabulary, style and subject matter which he will meet in his later reading of medical books and journals.  GOOD condition.  Some corner and edge wear,  cover soiling, fading and scuffing.  Owner's name on inside front cover.  Interior spine crack at copyright page but pages are tight.  Lots of underlining and notes on interior text.  Slight musty smell if you put your nose between the pages.   I use a poor/fair/good/very good/excellent/mint grading system and grade very conservatively (see my feedback). This does NOT necessarily correspond to the generic Ebay grading system that we are forced to use. Shipping is .95 in the U.S.
