From Kamindibit village New Guinea.
Over 100 years old.
Mosaic shell inlay.
Beards from the pubic hair of captured enemies.
While locked in embrace they turn their heads, alert to danger.
Orator's stools of this type are used during public meetings.
The man who has the floor during debates, leans upon, slaps, kicks and occasionally sits on it.
It has the place of greatest prestige in the Haus Tambanau, or Men's Spirit House.

Great condition for it's age. Some missing or loose inlay and hair. Some loose pieces included.
