In the 2020 edition of the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway this September, Matt DiBenedetto will wheel the famed Wood Brothers No. 21 Ford that will pay tribute to two NASCAR® Legends forever linked in history. When the Wood Brothers’ driver Marvin Panch was injured in a sports car crash prior to the 1963 DAYTONA 500®, fellow driver Tiny Lund pulled Panch from the wreckage. While Panch recovered, Lund was selected by the Wood Brothers to be the pilot of the No. 21 car at DAYTONA® and went on to win the race. Lund made several more starts during the 1963 season for the team before Panch returned tothe seat. Now fans of NASCAR® racing’s past and present can add the official die-cast of DiBenedetto’s No. 21 Motorcraft / Quick Lane Darlington Ford Mustang to their personal collections.
