This is a GENUINE Indonesian, Lombok island ancestor ceremonial figure...from the early/mid 20th century (1930s)
Possesses a highly menacing look - frown and downturned mouth
with articulated arms and legs and a head that comes off.
***Real human hair and inset human bne eyes!...This is the real deal...and not a much later rubbish tourist piece
Ribs, nipples and phallus done in high relief.....the wood has a beautiful dark golden brown hue
a highly professional restoration work was done to the right hand, some years ago.
Lots of patina on this figure...It looks much better in person!
Measures: 14 inches height and 5 inches width (shoulder to shoulder).
A great sculpture!
