    In 2011, on the100th anniversary of the inaugural Indianapolis 500
    , Dan Wheldon won his second Indianapolis500® Mile Race in
    dramatic fashion. On the final turn on the last lap of the competition that was dubbed "The Most Important Race in History", under pressure from a charging Wheldon, rookie race leader J.R. Hildebrand was sent into the wall of Turn 4 as he attempted to pass the lapped car of Charlie Kimball on the outside. This handed Dan Wheldon the opportunity to win the race with only leading that single lap.
