    Description

    Early 1900s South Pacific Tribal Wooden Hand Carved Souvenir Doll RARE
    I received this hand carved souvenir doll from my step-mother 35 years ago.  One of her relatives went to the South Pacific in 1912 and returned with this doll.  She had it stored and passed it to me.  It was my understanding she visited several islands at the time.
    The  doll is hand painted with great details such as necklace, earrings, skirt and headband.
    The arms are attached inside with a cord so they can move.
    It measures approximately 8 inches.  Hand carved wood.
    It is in delicate condition being 109 years old.  I took it out to photograph otherwise it has been stored all this time.
    I do not think you will ever see another one like this. I myself am amazed at this rare South Seas item.
