This is an awesome pre-owned original Chuck Letchworth engraved sterling silver engraved loose shank show bit with a frog curb mouthpiece.  Chuck Letchworth bits are the most "in demand" equipment on the AQHA and APHA show circuits due to their incredible balance, feel, and the beauty of their designs.  The bit features Klapper style loose cheek stainless steel shanks which are overlaid with sterling silver engraved plate and bars.
The frog port mouthpiece offers the maximum in tongue relief and the rotation of the mouthpiece will alert your horse as soon as you pick up the reins.
The bit is marked CL on the inside right cheek, for the maker Chuck Letchworth of Harwinton Connecticut.  Like most of Chuck's bits, this bit is a special order item and there may be a wait time.
Used as either a signal or leverage bit, this traditional high port frog mouthpiece provides a lot of feel back into the rider's hand.
The slightly open port adds more tongue relief and the sweet iron mouthpiece encourages salivation for a soft mouth.
This bit has a long 2-1/2 inch purchase for fast response and excellent lift for control of the shoulders and stabilization of the front end.  Ths shanks measure 7-1/2 inches long and the mouthpiece measures 5-1/8 inches wide by 3/8 inch in diameter with a 2-1/4 inch high by 2 inch wide port.  This bit features a 3 to 1 leverage ratio and weighs
