    DESCRIPTION: 5 old containers for lime powder, made in bamboo and wood, engraved with traditional Timorese motifs. These containers are very worn and have a nice patina for have been used for years to carry lime powder, betel nut, or tobacco leaves by Timorese owners that still follow the old tradition of ritualistic betel nut chewing.
    PROVENIENCE: personally collected from locals in Amanatun district, West Timor, Indonesia
